Ecomm Cowboy Analytics (the "App") is an internal analytics tool operated by Ecomm Cowboy LLC ("Ecomm Cowboy," "we," "us" or "our"). This policy explains what information the App collects, how we use it, and how you can control it.
The App is used only by the Ecomm Cowboy team. It is not offered to the public. The only accounts connected to it are accounts owned by Ecomm Cowboy and the personal accounts of our show's cohosts, who each choose to connect their own accounts.
When an account owner gives permission, the App collects data about content published on that account from YouTube (through YouTube API Services), LinkedIn, X and Instagram. This includes:
Details of published posts and videos, such as titles, captions, publish times and links.
Performance metrics, such as views, impressions, reach, likes, comments, shares, saves, watch time and audience retention.
Account level figures, such as follower and subscriber counts.
During our live streams, public live chat messages and viewer counts, which we use to measure audience engagement during each part of the show.
We do not collect passwords, private messages, or payment information. Access permissions granted by account owners are stored securely and are used only to collect the data described above.
We use this information only to run internal dashboards and reports, understand how our content performs, improve our content and show planning, and evaluate the performance of show segments and guests. We may use AI analysis tools, provided by service providers acting on our behalf, to analyze this data and generate reports.
We do not sell this information, and we do not use it for advertising. We share it only with service providers that host or process it on our behalf, such as our database host and AI analysis providers, and only for the purposes described in this policy. We may also disclose information if required by law.
Data is stored in a secured database hosted in the United States. Access is limited to authorized members of the Ecomm Cowboy team, and data is transmitted over encrypted connections.
We keep collected data for as long as it is useful for our internal analytics. When an account is disconnected from the App, we stop collecting its data and delete its stored access permissions. An account owner can ask us to delete the historical data collected from their account by contacting us at the address below, and we will do so within 30 days.
An account owner can remove the App's access at any time through the connected apps settings of the relevant platform. For Google and YouTube, access can be removed at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions.
The App uses YouTube API Services. By connecting a YouTube channel to the App, you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service (https://www.youtube.com/t/terms). Google's Privacy Policy is available at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
The App is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from children.
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date above shows when it was last changed.
