Midjourney Is Getting Into Medicine - Midjourney, the AI image company has shipped a real, working full-body scanner that uses a pool of warm water and roughly half a million ultrasound sensors to map your insides in about 60 seconds, no radiation or tube required. It claims MRI-level resolution at 100x the speed and 10x cheaper, is designed to feel like a spa rather than a hospital, and was reportedly built by a team of just nine people.

Meghan Markle & Clevr Collab: Avoid $5M Jam Loss? - Meghan Markle has launched a now-sold-out $56 Strawberry Matcha Set through a collaboration between her As Ever brand and wellness-drink company Clevr Blends, run by a close friend. The move comes as Markle reportedly faces a potential $5 million loss tied to unsold jam inventory, framing the matcha push as both a brand expansion and a hedge against a struggling product line.

The Reindustrialize “Founder Edition” Sweaters - Framework is drawing buzz with a $16 American-made crewneck sweater — and a giveaway of the first 1,000 units — produced through automated domestic manufacturing under a "Reindustrialize" banner. The reaction online zeroed in on the economics: if a U.S.-made, automated sweater can hit a $16 price point, it puts real pressure on the cost advantage that's long made overseas production the default.

Shop Is Not a Tracking App

By Colin Dougherty

Most DTC operators file Shop under package tracking and the purple checkout button, and that filing is costing them new customers.

Kenny Cohen (Director of Product for Shop, Shopify) dropped one number that should reframe how every brand thinks about the app: nearly 50% of orders made on Shop are the first order between that buyer and that brand.

Half.

This is not only a place where your existing customers come to re-track a package. It's a place where people who have never heard of you are buying for the first time.

The scale behind this is real. Shop has more than 250 million users, and the discovery engine is getting sharper. The new Shop search runs on a language model, so a buyer can describe what they want the way they'd say it to a friend, even when they don't have the precise words. "I'm buying a gift for my brother," or "my kid needs new toys, help me out."

That matters most for the long tail of merchants who could never surface in a rigid keyword search, because buyers are now developing a new language to find exactly the kind of thing you make.

It compounds from there with a new feature called Posts. There's also a new feature called Posts, where brands can tell their story and their why inside the home feed, giving a first-time buyer a reason to care.

Most brands treat Shop as a nice post-purchase utility bolted onto checkout. The data says it’s becoming your next favorite acquisition channel that hands you buyers who don't know you yet.

Measure what's actually driving your revenue.

If you live in Ads Manager, you know the problem: every platform takes credit for the same sale. Meta says 4.2 ROAS. TikTok claims the same conversion. Meanwhile Shopify shows $500K in revenue on $200K in spend. So which one's lying? Honestly — all of them.

Northbeam fixes that with proprietary data that starts from the actual purchase, then rebuilds the customer journey from real orders, real clicks, and real verified ad views. That measurement gets pushed back into the ad platforms, so optimization runs on what's actually driving revenue — not what the platforms assume is.

Start measuring what used to be unmeasurable.
